The Dallas Cowboys know what they need to improve on to be a feared team in the National Football League (NFL).

This is ahead of their Week 3 game in the 2025 season, when they will play on Sunday, September 21, 2025 against the Chicago Bears as visitors.

Matt Eberflus, the Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator, said on Thursday, September 18, 2025, that his defense is going to get better and that he is aware that they cannot continue to allow so many yards as has happened in the first two games of the 2025 NFL season.

The game against the Chicago Bears

“In terms of going to Chicago, we stay in the process of our preparation, just like every week,” said Matt Eberflus, the defensive coordinator for the Dallas Cowboys.

Jadeveon Clowney trained in full pads for the first time with the Dallas Cowboys and said he is available to play if the coaches want him to play against the Chicago Bears.

KaVontae Turpin (neck), Tyler Guyton (shoulder) and Trevon Diggs (illness) practiced with the Dallas Cowboys.

DaRon Bland, who is nursing a foot injury, was the only player on the Dallas Cowboys active roster who did not practice.

Brock Hoffman will be the starting center against the Chicago Bears while Cooper Beebe is injured, the Dallas Cowboys reported. Cooper Beebe was placed on the injured reserve list on Monday, September 15, 2025, with a right ankle and foot injury, which he suffered in the game against the New York Giants on Sunday, September 14, 2025.
