Enrique “Kike” Hernandez recalled a call from Andrew Friedman, president of baseball operations, which changed his perspective. “I expected to be traded again because, looking at the Dodgers roster, I thought I would have a career in Triple-A,”
Andrew Friedman assured him that they had real plans for him, looking for versatile players who could act in several positions. Although skeptical at first, Enrique “Kike” Hernandez decided to trust the process, which in a first stage from 2015 to 2020 where they won the World Series that last year.
Second stint with the Los Angeles Dodgers
