Dak Prescott, the quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys, always generates controversy, especially because he leads the most popular team in the entire NFL. Additionally, the previous season, before his injury, he signed a new contract guaranteeing him $231 million.
Terry Bradshaw, the legendary NFL quarterback, changed his opinion on the Dallas Cowboys’ quarterback Dak Prescott, which has caused a stir.
Prescott, 31, signed a lucrative contract extension in September. However, despite the high expectations due to his salary, Prescott’s season was impacted by an injury, sidelining him for the rest of the year, and the Cowboys missed the playoffs.
Bradshaw, the former quarterback of the Pittsburgh Steelers and current FOX NFL Sunday analyst, had previously expressed admiration for Prescott. During the previous offseason, he praised Prescott’s potential, telling the Fort Worth Star-Telegram: “I’m a big fan of Dak Prescott. I think Jerry Jones will do everything he can to win.”
Despite the praise, Cooper Rush showed some positive flashes when he replaced Dak halfway through the previous season. After the victory over the New York Giants on Thanksgiving, Bradshaw stated that Rush should be the starter.
“He [Rush] probably should be the starter when the other guy [Prescott] returns,” Bradshaw said.
Before his injury, Prescott had played eight games, securing only 3 wins, while Rush, who started the same number of games, threw 12 touchdown passes while the Cowboys had a 4-4 record. The Cowboys missed the playoffs.
Now, Cooper Rush has left the Cowboys to sign a one-year deal with the Baltimore Ravens, moving to the American Conference, and Jerry Jones’ team is on the lookout for a new backup quarterback for the upcoming season.
