The Kansas City Chiefs skyrocketed in popularity after becoming one of the NFL‘s most dominant teams, with Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce as their main stars. However, though many may disagree, since the tight end began dating Taylor Swift, it’s marked a before-and-after in their global reach.

And this doesn’t sit well with Jerry Jones… because it seems the Chiefs might take the nickname that belonged to the Cowboys for years.

The Chiefs Are the New America’s Team

The Cowboys earned this moniker during their golden era in the 1970s and 1990s, but they didn’t anticipate that decades later, the Chiefs would team up with the most popular American singer of the moment.

Former NFL quarterback Chase Daniel shared this view on The Facility.

“If you talk about on-field success, sustained success for the Chiefs has brought global recognition, brand recognition,” Daniel said on The Facility. “You were talking about Kim Kardashian, how about Taylor Swift?

“When you look at what the Chiefs have done, and you look at the global brand recognition, it’s really hard to say right now that the Kansas City Chiefs are not the new ‘America’s Team.'”

Despite losing the most recent Super Bowl LIX to the Philadelphia Eagles, the team has dominated the league, and Patrick Mahomes has already won three Super Bowl rings. It’s undeniable that they’re gaining more fans, whether from Taylor Swift followers or the NFL’s international expansion.
