Alivia Thompson, girlfriend of St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Victor Scott II, gave followers an inside look at the highs and lows of being in a long-distance relationship with a professional baseball player.

In a TikTok video shared on March 20, Thompson explained the unique challenges of managing her relationship with Victor, particularly during the MLB season, while also highlighting the perks that come with it – namely, her pro-level traveling skills.

Thompson, who lives in Georgia, has become accustomed to frequent travel to visit her boyfriend during baseball’s spring training in West Palm Beach, Florida.

“I literally just travel to wherever he’s at in the season,” Thompson revealed.

“The only option is for me to come visit him, and I’m tired of being long-distance, so I’m literally going as many times as I can.”

The couple’s long-distance relationship often means Thompson is flying multiple weekends a month to be with Victor, but the travel is far from a financial burden. Thanks to her Delta SkyMiles card, she’s able to score budget-friendly flights for as low as $11.

Mastering travel like a pro

As someone who has become an expert traveler, Thompson has mastered the art of managing her flights and airport time.

“I will say, I’ve become an expert traveler with TSA Pre Check and knowing how to time exactly when to get to the airport,” Thompson said.

Living in Atlanta gives her the added advantage of flying out of one of the busiest airports, Hartsfield-Jackson, making her travel routine even more efficient.

“Honestly, this life isn’t for everyone because it’s a lot of being alone, long distance, traveling everywhere – but it’s what works for us,” she admitted, explaining that it can be challenging to maintain a relationship under the demanding schedules of pro athletes.
