Taylor Swift has taken a brief step back from music to indulge in another passion-baking. Going beyond the spotlight, the star music artist prepared homemade Pop-Tarts for the crew assisting her partner, Travis Kelce.
The Kansas City Chiefs‘ ace participated in a recent American Eagle photoshoot and the gesture from the Cruel Summer singer was captured in a fan-posted video online, which showed a box of handcrafted treats accompanied by a handwritten note.
The message contained details about the flavors inside (strawberry, raspberry, and blueberry) and had a touching message from the Grammy-winning artist reading, “Have a great shoot!! Love [Swift’s signature].”
Whilst she is known for her record-breaking albums and stadium tours, those close to her have also praised her talents in the kitchen and one such endorsement came from the Chiefs head coach, Andy Reid.
“As good a singer as she is and entertainer, she’s also a really good cook,” Reid said to The Rich Eisen Show in March 2024. “She just doesn’t share it with me, she shares it with all the linemen.
“And I’m telling her, ‘You gotta give a little to the coach.'”
Despite captivating the world through her music, these intimate moments reveal a quieter joy through crafting small, meaningful experiences for those closest to her, reflecting the values she was raised with through her family.
Kelce refuses to talk about Swift’s baking habits
The coach’s comments echoed what fans saw in Swift‘s recent gesture-an artist whose passion extends to making those around her feel appreciated in simple, personal ways.
Swift‘s effort also aligns with her boyfriend’s known love for Pop-Tarts. Travis Kelce previously mentioned the snack on the January 8 episode of his New Heights podcast, revealing it as one of his favorite comfort foods.
The duo, who began dating in 2023, reportedly enjoy spending quiet time together in the kitchen, away from the media glare and that’s something the tight end is keen to maintain.
“I respect that question,” Kelce told reporters in July 2024. “But I’m going to keep that one to myself because I thoroughly enjoy cooking with her.
“So it’s something I’d rather just keep personal.”
He then moved on to the next question, but the 35-year-old footballer, who has won three Super Bowls, couldn’t resist making one last comment on the topic with a cheeky smile by saying, “Taylor makes a great pop-tart and cinnamon roll.”
His response was a reminder that the pop icon isn’t just a performer and celebrity to be enjoyed by the public eye, but is also someone who finds connection through thoughtful acts in everyday life when the paparazzi and cameras aren’t watching her in New York, Los Angeles or at the Arrowhead Stadium.
