For the fourth straight year, the top spot on the IFPI Global Artist Chart belongs to Taylor Swift.
The announcement confirms what much of the music industry has already felt throughout 2025: Swift‘s grip on global audiences remains unmatched.
This latest recognition from the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry marks the sixth time Swift has claimed the Global Artist of the Year title. Over the past decade, no other artist has matched her total wins combined.
The milestone reflects not only commercial strength but sustained strategic execution across international markets.
Her 2025 campaign was driven by the release of her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, along with the documentary The End of an Era, which extended the cultural impact of her tour. Engagement spanned streaming platforms, vinyl sales, physical copies and digital downloads, reinforcing her ability to dominate every format.
The IFPI Global Artist Chart measures worldwide performance across multiple revenue streams, offering a comprehensive snapshot of international success. Swift‘s continued reign highlights not just popularity, but consistency in connecting with fans across continents.
Victoria Oakley, CEO of IFPI, underscored the magnitude of the achievement.
“Taylor Swift‘s sixth IFPI Global Artist of the Year award is a truly historic achievement,” Oakley said.
“The IFPI Global Artist Chart is comprised of remarkable artists across the globe and also represents the teams and long-term commitment behind each release, ensuring fans around the world can connect with music in meaningful ways.”
Global competition remains strong
While Swift once again claimed the summit, other artists delivered significant milestones. Stray Kids reached No. 2, their highest position yet and their third consecutive year inside the top five.
Bad Bunny secured No. 5, marking his sixth straight appearance on the chart. His sustained presence places him among a select group of artists including Swift, Drake, SEVENTEEN, The Weeknd and Eminem who have remained in the rankings for at least five consecutive years.
Elsewhere, Lady Gaga returned to the chart at No. 10 for the first time since 2020. Tyler, The Creator debuted at No. 12, fueled by robust vinyl demand, while Mrs. GREEN APPLE entered at No. 13 following the success of their anniversary album 10.
Ed Sheeran, SZA and Justin Bieber also reappeared in the rankings, signaling renewed global traction.
