After months of social media silence, Taylor Swift has reemerged online to celebrate a significant milestone for Natalia Bryant, daughter of the late NBA legend Kobe Bryant. Swift liked a TikTok video posted by Natalia, who recently graduated from the University of Southern California (USC).

The video features Natalia and her friends lip-syncing to Swift’s song “Nothing New (Taylor’s Version),” marking Swift’s first public engagement on TikTok since October 2024.

This interaction underscores the enduring bond between Swift and the Bryant family. In 2015, Kobe Bryant honored Swift during her 16th sold-out show at the Staples Center by presenting her with a commemorative banner.

Following Kobe’s tragic passing in 2020, Swift paid tribute to him and has maintained a close relationship with his family, including gifting Natalia a cardigan from her “Folklore” album.

Natalia, 22, graduated cum laude from USC, honoring her father’s legacy with personal touches during the commencement ceremony. She wore an embroidered message on her sash and Kobe’s sheath logo, and Lakers owner Jeanie Buss personally handed her the diploma.

A heartfelt connection

Swift‘s gesture resonated deeply with fans, many of whom praised her for acknowledging Natalia’s achievement. While some speculated about the timing of Swift’s return to social media, the majority viewed it as a sincere act of support. One fan commented, “Taylor’s always been there for the Bryants. This is just another example of her genuine kindness.”

Despite her recent low profile, Swift‘s subtle reappearance highlights her continued connection to those she holds dear. Her support for Natalia not only celebrates a personal achievement but also reinforces the lasting friendship between the Swift and Bryant families.
