The world of fashion is ever-changing. What’s new one day is old the next. Older generations tend to get stuck in their ways, but since professional athletes remain the same age, relatively, they are usually seen wearing up-to-date outfits.
The more casual style that’s prevalent nowadays is much different than the age of suits and ties, which dominated the fashion scene 50-plus years ago. Many fans took it as Smith being salty for no reason, pointing out that James generally dresses quite well; especially in comparison to most of his NBA peers. James hasn’t been shy about wearing a suit and tie in the past, particularly come playoff time.
Perhaps Smith is trying to reignite his beef with James, which got kickstarted due to comments from the talkshow host about Bronny James. That seemingly blew over, but maybe it will resurface now.
