The defending champion Stallions were able to capture their first victory of the season. Quarterback Matt Corral was solid, completing 18-of-29 pass attempts for 198 yards and one touchdown. Birmingham created turnovers on defense and special teams, which helped it control the possession battle down the stretch.
Michigan made noise with a 12-point fourth quarter, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Birmingham’s lead.
