Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham has never been afraid to poke fun at herself, and her latest social media post proves it once again.

While teammate Caitlin Clark was unveiling her new Nike logo to the world, Cunningham joined the conversation with a tongue-in-cheek suggestion for what her own “signature logo” might look like.

Clark made headlines on August 25 by revealing her interlocking “CC” logo in a dramatic Nike teaser video, announcing that her full product line will debut in 2026.

The move put Clark among an elite group of WNBA stars such as A’ja Wilson, Sabrina Ionescu, Angel Reese, and Breanna Stewart, who have their own signature branding. The reveal quickly sparked debates online about which player’s design was the best.

That’s when Cunningham found a way to make the moment about herself, in the funniest way possible. The veteran guard posted to X on August 26 with a screenshot from earlier this season, when she had chipped her front tooth during a game and shared it with fans.

“I’ll never be cool enough to have my own signature logo, BUT IF I WAS, I would want it to be my top teeth of this photo,” Cunningham wrote.

From injury frustration to viral humor

The self-deprecating post immediately caught fire, drawing thousands of likes and more than 100,000 views in the first hour. Fans praised Cunningham‘s ability to laugh at her own misfortune and for bringing levity to the ongoing logo debate.

Cunningham has been sidelined since tearing her MCL against the Connecticut Sun on August 17, an injury that required surgery and ended her season.

But the 28-year-old has kept fans engaged with her off-court humor. The tooth story actually dates back to June, when she posted a TikTok with the caption, “tell me you play in the W without telling me you play in the W,” showing her chipped tooth as a badge of battle.

Clark couldn’t resist roasting her then, posting a picture of Jim Carrey’s Dumb and Dumber character with the same dental look. Cunningham reposted the joke to her own Instagram story, showing she was in on it all the way.
