Chile National Football Team achieved its first win in the Conmebol U17 2025 after defeating Argentina 3-2.

In the first half, Argentina took the lead with a goal by Thomás de Martis in the 45th minute. However, after the break, Chile equalized at 56′ thanks to a goal by Cristóbal Sepúlveda.

Then, at 70′, Zidane Yañez put La Roja ahead with another goal, and at 81′, Martín Jiménez scored the third goal for the Chilean team. Despite Chile’s lead, Argentina did not give up and managed to close the gap at 90+6′ with a goal by De Martis, who scored his second goal of the match.

Father gets caugh watching his son’s goal

During the match, which was played at Jaraguay stadium in Montería, Colombia, Chile’s Zidañe Yañez father was bein interviewed on the stands and he was talking about the great environment in the Colombian city, including the people and food.

As he was talking about his experience cheering for La Roja, his son scored a goal. The proud father couldn’t hide his excitement as the let out a loud “Let’s go” and told the interviewer that his son scored. “That’s my son, let’s go.” said the man.

“The dad is all of us whenever we see a family member winning.” said an X user. “He named his son after a superstar.” said another social media user, in reference to Zinedine Zidane, a French legend that led his country to win the 1998 World Cup.

Conmebol U17 2025 its underway

Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia (host), Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela are playing the Conmebol U17 2025 Cup, which will end on April 12th in Cartagena and Montería.

In the group phase, the ten national teams will be divided into two groups of five teams each, in which they will play four days of single round-robin matches. The two best-placed teams in each group will advance to the Semi-Finals.

Starting this year, the Conmebol U17 will be held every year and will have a new, more attractive format in all phases of play, which will be correlated to the annual FIFA U17 World Cup in the same branch.
