In what might be his most dramatic meltdown yet, the 73-year-old sports commentator Skip Bayless unloaded on both LeBron James and Tom Brady during his latest tirade, accusing the retired NFL legend of “kissing LeBron’s a**” in front of a live audience.

The moment that sent Bayless into orbit? A heartwarming exchange between Brady and James during a live taping of The Shop at Fanatics Fest in New York City last weekend. Brady praised LeBron as “the greatest ever,” calling him a model of consistency and class. But for Bayless, it was too much to handle.

“Tell me I’m wrong,” Bayless barked. “LeBron James just can’t help himself… he can’t hide that runaway insecurity. Deep down, he knows he’ll never be seen as the greatest basketball player ever-at least not by people who actually know the game.”

Then came the haymaker aimed at Brady.

“Brady, the sellout,” according to Bayless

“What a sellout Tom Brady has become post-football,” Bayless snapped. “On the field, greatest clutch competitor ever. Off the field? He’s saying and doing whatever it takes to polish his good guy image. He’s kissing up to LeBron on stage like he’s trying to land a Netflix buddy comedy deal.”

Bayless didn’t stop there, accusing Brady of strategically schmoozing LeBron for business gain.

“Tom knows how many billions of followers LeBron has. He knows what a financial alliance with the King could mean. So there he is, saying, ‘You’re witnessing the greatest ever’ like he’s auditioning for a lifetime supply of Nike stock options.”

Skip packs enough for everyone

Of course, Bayless has spent much of his career throwing jabs at LeBron. But his recent feud with Brady only added fuel to this rant, turning what might have been a normal episode of The Shop into what Skip saw as a betrayal of sporting integrity… or something.

So in one rant, Skip managed to trash two of the most accomplished athletes in American history-while unintentionally reminding us that maybe he’s the one still chasing greatness.

Maybe someone just needs to buy him a hug. Or at least block The Shop from his TV schedule.
