Simone Biles is once again proving that she knows how to balance competition with relaxation.

After a whirlwind few months that included a vacation with her Chicago Bears star husband Jonathan Owens and a high-profile appearance at the ESPYs, the gymnastics star has traded arenas for ocean views, heading to the British Virgin Islands for a summer escape.

Biles is spending the week on a Tanna 47 yacht with a group of friends that includes former volleyball standout Torrie Brown.

Posting a series of snapshots to Instagram, she showcased stunning coastal views, clinked glasses with her travel companions, and captioned one image from the deck simply: “home for the week.”

Biles takes in Virgin Gorda and Caribbean tradition

Simone Biles’s trip began with a serene sunset story, paired with a lighthearted game of Spot It, a fast-paced card game she played aboard the yacht.#

More photos followed, including a morning shot of the ocean alongside a plate of scrambled eggs and toast. “back in virgin gorda for a lil razzle dazzle,” she wrote, highlighting the island’s calm beauty from the yacht’s deck.

Biles also revisited a familiar look, wearing the same Fendi swimsuit she had shown off during an earlier trip to Belize. This time, she turned it into a playful moment, sharing a “matchy matchy” caption as she and a friend wore the same design against the backdrop of clear Caribbean waters.

The highlight of the trip so far came when Biles joined the annual “Christmas in July” festivities, a tradition that brings boaters and travelers together in Virgin Gorda for a week of holiday-themed summer celebrations.

Sharing a shot of engraved cups labeled “N” and “S” and later showing off a bright yellow tumbler marked “XMAS in JULY 2025,” she captured the vibrant energy of the event at Pond Bay.

Where is Jonathan Owens?

While Biles has been enjoying yacht life and island views with friends in the British Virgin Islands, Jonathan has been preparing for his first preseason snaps.

The Bears are set to kick off the 2025 preseason on August 7, with their opening game against the Miami Dolphins scheduled for August 10 at Soldier Field.

The Bears’ mandatory training camp began on July 23 at Halas Hall, marking an important phase for a team looking to reestablish itself in the NFC.
