WNBA legend and analyst Sheryl Swoopes has shown her admiration for Angel Reese by reacting to an incredibly kind gesture by the Chicago Sky star.

Reese has been killing it on the court since she became a WNBA player and she has also been impressing people off of it.

She has been creating a successful podcast titled ‘Unapologetically Angel’ and that is where she recently shared a story about her mother that has really moved many people.

Reese has decided to pay off her mother’s mortgage so that she can have financial freedom and even stop working if she wants to, a gesture that is relatively common among successful athletes who come from modest backgrounds and want to give back to their parents.

“You said that if your mortgage was paid off, then you would retire,” Reese said on Wednesday. “So your mortgage today has been paid. You don’t have to worry about your mortgage no more, but if you want to still work and keep yourself busy, you can keep yourself busy.”

Swoopes was quick to chime in with her reaction, commenting: “I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!!!.”

Reese‘s mother quickly broke down into tears when Angel delivered the news, and she then hugged her daughter in what was an extremely emotional moment.

Angel Reese’s rookie earnings

Reese has earned 73,000 dollars in her rookie season but she gets more money from the many sponsorships and brand deals that she has.

Her mother used to play basketball and played in a professional league in Luxembourg after college.

“I used to go to my mom’s games when I was younger,” she said. “She used to play in a little league, and I used to always go watch her games on Sundays. That was something that was always inspiring to me.”
