The first overall pick of the 2025 NFL Draft, Cam Ward, has achieved what Shedeur Sanders never will. After making headlines for dropping to the fifth round, Deion Sanders‘ son is now witnessing firsthand what a top-draft quarterback can accomplish.

That milestone is the blockbuster contract secured by the Miami Hurricanes product with the Tennessee Titans, a franchise that bet big on him, shelling out a hefty sum to see if he can transform their fortunes.

Cam Ward Lands Lucrative Deal, Earning Far More Than Shedeur Sanders

Cam Ward is now officially under contract. The quarterback signed a four-year, $48.75 million deal, as reported by Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports, matching the duration of Shedeur Sanders‘ contract with the Cleveland Browns but vastly outpacing it in value.

This means Ward will earn over 10 times more than Sanders, who secured just $4.6 million over four years with the Browns. On top of the massive deal, Ward pocketed a $32.1 million signing bonus.

The Titans didn’t stop at drafting Ward. They bolstered their roster by adding veteran wide receiver Tyler Lockett and selecting Stanford’s Elic Ayomanor in the draft, pairing them with Calvin Ridley to form a formidable receiving corps for the rookie QB.
