Shedeur Sanders is fed up with the hostile coverage he receives. For weeks, media and analysts have insisted that his stock is in free fall, taking him out of the top five picks in the 2025 NFL Draft. Tired of the claims, the former Colorado star sent a strong response to his fans and detractors.

When the NCAA campaign was still in full swing, analysts considered Sanders to be among the top three picks in this upcoming draft. However, for a few weeks now, those same analysts have been saying that the Buffaloes quarterback could even fall out of the top five.

His absence from the NFL Scouting Combine fueled the rumor mill to the point where some are even taking Sanders out of the first round altogether. With the draft just weeks away, Shedeur decided to send a clear message to his followers: Don’t trust the media.

Shedeur’s anger

While waiting for the draft, Sanders has been busy giving interviews and working on promoting his image. On a recent livestream with fitness influencer Bradley Martin from a gym, one fan expressed hope that Shedeur would fall far enough to be selected by the Las Vegas Raiders.

Sanders acknowledged there is a possibility of falling as far as the Raiders’ current sixth pick, but he wasn’t too happy about it. “Well everybody is trying to make my stock drop right now, so who knows? You know just how life gets.”

Furthermore, Deion Sanders’ son expressed his displeasure and distrust of the media saying, “But it is what it is. It’s fool’s gold. It isn’t real. Don’t believe the media.”

Projections regarding Sanders’ draft destination wildly differ. For example, NFL.com analyst Lance Zierlein speculates that the Browns will trade picks with the Commanders to take him at No. 29, while his colleague Charles Davis predicts the Titans will take him with the first pick.

When it comes to the NFL draft, nothing is set in stone. There is no single analyst who can say that their predictions were 100% correct. Only the teams know who they will take when the day comes, and Sanders, his fans and detractors will have to wait until the moment of truth arrives to find out where he will land.
