It’s setting up to be a rebuilding year for the Cleveland Browns. After firing head coach Kevin Stefanski, and with a roster needing talent upgrades at various positions, no one is expecting the team to compete for anything serious in 2026.

New head coach Todd Monken has his work cut out for him. The front office can’t expect a big uptick in wins, but if Monken can get Shedeur Sanders looking like a solid NFL starting quarterback, that should be enough to buy the head coach plenty of time going forward. In order for that to happen, Sanders must be surrounded by a good coaching staff. Now, we know exactly what that staff looks like.

Shedeur Sanders will have new OC and two new QB coaches in 2026

While many of the coaching staff roles were already reported as finalized, the Browns made everything official this week. On Tuesday, the franchise announced their entire coaching staff for the 2026 season. What many wanted to see was which coaches Sanders would be surrounded by, and whether he would be supported by a strong coaching cast in his second season.

He certainly won’t be short of coaches to use as a sounding board, as he will have two quarterback coaches, two offensive analysts and more coaches who will contribute to game plans.

  • Travis Switzer: Offensive Coordinator
  • Danny Breyer: Pass Game Coordinator
  • Mike Bajakian: Quarterbacks Coach
  • Matt Baker: Assistant Quarterbacks Coach
  • Ian Kolste: Offensive Quality Control Coach
  • Sanders Davis: Offensive Assistant / Offensive Line Coach
  • Travis Monken: Offensive Analyst
  • Dom Borsani: Offensive Analyst

The two most important pieces for Sanders’ development could be Mike Bajakian and Matt Baker, who will serves as the quarterbacks coaches for Cleveland this upcoming season.

Bajakian most recently was the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at UMass, but has NFL experience in a similar role with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers – overlapping with Monken for three seasons from 2016 to 2018.

Baker was most recently an offensive assistant for the Pittsburgh Steelers for the past two seasons. Monken was able to poach him from an AFC North rival following Mike Tomlin‘s departure from Pittsburgh.
