We’re just over a week away from the NFL Draft, and things are starting to fall into place in what’s been a wild but interesting offseason. This quarterback class may not stand out, but the need for a top player in that position has given it significant value, especially for Cam Ward, as Shedeur Sanders has fallen.
Cam Ward is expected to be picked by the Tennessee Titans, Travis Hunter by the Cleveland Browns, and Abdul Carter by the New York Giants. These selections are currently the favorites in the betting houses. After them, the New England Patriots and Jacksonville Jaguars are up next, both of which don’t need a quarterback, so Shedeur Sanders is currently not among the top picks. Deion’s son has fallen, and perhaps his salvation will come from the New Orleans Saints or Pittsburgh Steelers.
Mason Graham is the favorite to be selected with the fifth pick
Betters are currently favoring Mason Graham to be selected with the fifth overall pick in the NFL Draft. The former Michigan Wolverines player is listed with odds between -120 and -160 for that spot. The team selecting at that position is the Jacksonville Jaguars, and defensive line is a major need for them. Graham was an All-American tackle last season.
After Graham, the next players with the shortest odds to be selected are Georgia’s edge rusher Jalon Walker, Missouri’s offensive tackle Armand Membou, and Boise State’s running back Ashton Jeanty.
Mason Graham’s stats
The former Wolverines lineman had an outstanding 2024 season with 45 tackles, 23 of them solo and 22 assisted. He recorded 7.0 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks. He also managed an interception and forced 1 fumble. His performance was crucial to Michigan’s defensive line.
