Shedeur Sanders may have accidentally admitted he’s joining the New York Giants ahead of the 2025/26 NFL season as the Colorado Buffaloes’ star joked along with “avoiding” the NFC East.

After tossing for 4134 yards and 37 touchdowns in the NCAA at Folsom Field, the 23-year-old has been tipped to be one of the first quarterbacks selected in the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft.

And with a host of teams such as the Giants, Cleveland Browns, Tennessee Titans and New York Jets reportedly in the market for a new quarterback, there’s a string of options for the youngster to choose as he starts his professional career.

And has he just confirmed where he’s going to? A video showing himself and his friend posted online shows his pal pleading with him to, “go anywhere but not the NFC East, man.”

Sanders laughs along but doesn’t rule out a switch to the division containing the Giants, in which they finished root last in 2024/25 after parting ways with Daniel Jones midway through the season.

Could he also go to the Dallas Cowboys, who are also in the NFC East? There are strong links between Deion Sanders, Shedeur’s dad, and the AT&T Stadium and with Dak Prescott proving to be injury prone, are they also an option?

The Giants just picked up Russell Wilson from the Pittsburgh Steelers off the back of a season where he produced 16 touchdowns for 2482 yards and allowed just five interceptions.

Whilst he is 36 and turns 37 in November, meaning he won’t be in the NFL for too much longer, the Giants also acquired Jameis Winston. The 31-year-old is a QB full of talent but someone who has never quite managed to put it all together.
