NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal has been the talk of the town after his recent stinging remarks targeting a former team he was a part of.
The Playoffs are filling some teams with joy, but for others it is proving to be a real headache. Shaq, who played for Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat and Orlando Magic, has seen these teams fall in the first game of the Playoffs, but there was one team that had a tougher time and as if that wasn’t enough, was criticized by O’Neal.
In his last postseason with TNT’s “Inside the NBA,” after the Warriors’ victory, Shaquille commented:
Orlando will be lucky to win a game. I love the Orlando Magic, I love the organization, but they’re better with their full roster. They’re not 100 percent. Their bench is not very good. They don’t have a lot of scorers. If Franz and Paolo don’t do most of the work, they don’t have a chance.
The truth is that these words are only based on the first playoff game, where the Magic fell to the Boston Celtics 103-86. However, of those 86 points, Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner scored 59 and no other player scored more than ten points, something the team will have to change if it wants to secure a victory in its next game and make Shaquille’s words come true.
Shaq and NBA Playoffs:
The 53-year-old legend reached 17 NBA playoffs in his 19-year career. The team with which he made it the most times was with the Lakers 8 times, 4 times with the Magic, 3 times with the Heat and once with the Phoenix Suns, Cleveland Cavaliers and Celtics.
