It’s been a somewhat weird week for Shaquille O’Neal. Following a post where former NFL quarterback turned talking head Robert Griffin III posted a meme of Angel Reese as a monkey, O’Neal exploded on RGIII. Griffin posting it was aimed as a way to stop the racist treatment Reese continues to receive, but instead, Griffin just amplified it to his large audience by reposting it. This came after Griffin had called out Reese in the past for her treatment towards Caitlin Clark.

Shaq took to the airwaves to call Griffin out and threaten him. O’Neal spoke out harshly, telling Griffin that if he shared another disrespectful post about “my girl Angel Reese”, he was “gonna punch you in your f***ing face”. O’Neal even went as far as revealing that he told Reese personally not to respond to any of it. Griffin hasn’t responded, but another media personality has come out to defend him.

Dan Dakich lays into Shaquille O’Neal after Robert Griffin III threats

Dan Dakich, a former college basketball head coach who spent over a decade as an analyst for ESPN, called out Shaq for what he believes are empty threats. Dakich currently hosts a podcast on OutKick called “Don’t @ Me“, but he openly mentioned O’Neal in his rant. It was filled with several insults.

The big stupid decided he is going to go off on Robert Griffin… You go back and take a look at Shaq’s history, restraining orders, all kinds of other stupid s**t. So yeah, it’s Shaq, it’s the big stupid. I really wish RGIII would say, ‘bring it big boy, bring your fat a** around here, punch me’. Shaq’s full of s**t. Shaq’s an insecure little baby.

This Shaq vs. RGIII war doesn’t seem to be going away anytime soon. We’ll see if O’Neal gives Dakich the time of day with a response, or chooses to ignore him if he gets wind of the rant.
