Serena Williams was left stunned when a playful game of Hangman with her daughter, Olympia, took an unexpected turn as the eight-year-old cheekily drew attention to her mother’s “big booty,” leaving the tennis ace in disbelief.
The 23-time Grand Slam champion, who retired from the professional scene at the 2022 US Open, continues to balance life as a mother while pursuing business ventures, leadership roles, and mentoring the next generation of athletes.
Now she frequently shares glimpses of her family life on social media, and recently posted a video of Olympia making a cheeky illustration of her mother’s posterior during their game, and the playful moment quickly drew attention online.
“Mama has a big booty,” Olympia wrote, drawing a humorous graphic of her mother’s tush on a toilet seat, complete with a playful poop element. Serena and others in the room burst into laughter at the creative depiction.
“I’m playing a friendly game, Hangman, and I’m not sure how friendly this is. That’s the toilet and that’s the tush. I don’t know about this. This isn’t right,” Serena said and when someone suggested Olympia remove the “p**p,” the youngster pushed back.
“I know, I’m going to put it back,” Olympia said before Serena then exclaimed: “That is horrible. That’s just wrong. This is not even right.”
Serena and her husband, tech entrepreneur Alexis Ohanian, welcomed Olympia in 2017, the same year they married.
The little girl often accompanied Serena to tournaments until her retirement, and now frequently features in family-focused social media posts.
The former tennis star has transitioned into other passions post-retirement, including business ventures, investing, mentoring, and enjoying quality family time with Olympia and her younger daughter, Adira.
Serena Williams so good she was accused of witchcraft
Serena retired in September 2022 after 27 professional years, while Venus, one year older, continues to compete professionally.
But she also reflected on wild claims about her professional career on her Stockton Street podcast, co-hosted with her sister Venus and Grammy-winning artist Ciara.
“The craziest thing I ever heard about me was that I did witchcraft,” Serena said. “Black magic because I was beating some girl a lot.
“She claimed that we did black magic to beat her.”
Together, the Williams sisters have won 30 Grand Slam singles titles, 14 doubles titles, and two mixed doubles championships and Venus added her own thoughts on the witchcraft scandal.
“From what I understand,” Venus said. “Someone in her team consulted a black magician to beat (Serena).”
Serena‘s dominance was unmatched, with Agnieszka Radwanska losing all ten matches against her and her sister Urszula failing in all five meetings.
Even current stars, such as Madison Keys, fell short, losing all three of their games against Serena. Venus reflected on persistent rumors about her own whereabouts.
“People kept telling me where I’ve been and what I’ve been doing,” Venus said. “And I’ve never even been to that place.
“You just have to go along with it because otherwise they’ll fight you on it. Get help!”
