Meghan Markle is counting down the days until the release of her new Netflix series, but she’s focusing on her family as she took time to enjoy a special moment with her daughter, Princess Lilibet as Serena Williams visited the young princess.

The Duchess of Sussex was joined by the 23-time Grand Slam winner and her longtime friend for a game of Candy Land with the three-year-old in a heartwarming scene captured on social media.

Lilibet, rarely spotted because of how her family protects her, was dressed in a soft pink matching set and sat beside Serena as both were seen smiling and clapping during the game. The 43-year-old Markle was also dressed up wearing navy-blue pajamas with white pinstripes.

“When the aunties come to celebrate… and to play! Love you @serenawilliams,” Markle wrote via Instagram. “Three days until the party begins. All are invited @netflix.”

Followers of the ex-Suits actress and British Royal Family member could hear Bill Withers‘ Lovely Day as background music, creating a nice tone under the Californian sun as the USA heads towards Spring.

Hype builds for Markle ahead of Netflix venture

As Meghan enjoyed a family game night, she also continued to promote her highly anticipated Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, which is set to premiere soon on March 4 after being delayed due to the California wildfires.

The show is to offer a fresh take on lifestyle programming, and Netflix recently released a sneak peek featuring Meghan alongside Korean-American chef, Roy Choi, as the duo bonded over their shared love for food, music, and dance.

They can be spotted preparing a Korean fried chicken dish in a luxurious Montecito kitchen and quickly struck up a light-hearted and fun rapport, giving fans a taste of what’s to come when the show goes live on Tuesday.

“The best thing about Koreatown is that you could go to all ages clubs and karaoke bars,” Meghan reminisced in the clip. To which Choi responded, “I was part of dance crews, all that stuff.”

The two then shared a lighthearted moment discussing dance moves from their youth as a visibly enthusiastic Duchess asked Choi about his preferred cooking music, but may have got more than she bargained for.

When he mentioned listening to “speed metal” while preparing food, she reacted with surprise, responding, “That doesn’t sound like the joy of cooking.”

The new series promises to blend cooking, gardening, and lifestyle elements, with Meghan and her guests engaging in hands-on activities.

According to Netflix, the show will “reimagine the genre of lifestyle programming,” giving viewers a more intimate look at Meghan’s personal interests and passions.
