Sebastian Fundora returns to the ring this weekend to face Chordale Booker in a unification fight for the WBC and WBO super welterweight titles.
The fight will be broadcast live on Amazon Prime in the United States, while the official PPV rights belong to Sampson Boxing.
As in any great fight, in addition to the title, there is a juicy purse at stake. Here we tell you how much each fighter will earn:
How much will Sebastian Fundora and Chordale Booker earn?
Sebastian Fundora
- Guaranteed purse: $500,000
- PPV percentage: 60%
- Estimated earnings with 500,000 PPV purchases: $1.8 million
Chordale Booker
- Guaranteed purse: $275,000
- PPV percentage: 40%
- Estimated earnings with 500,000 PPV purchases: $550,000
How do these purses compare to your previous fights?
For Fundora, the current WBC and WBO super welterweight champion, this fight is far from his best payday. His biggest payday was in the fight against Tim Tszyu, held in March 2024, where he took home $3 million, including his share of the PPV sales.
Before that, he had earned $400,000 in each of his fights against Brian Mendoza and Carlos Ocampo.
In his career, he has only one loss when he was knocked out by Brian Mendoza, but other than that he has achieved a path of victories that put him in the privileged position.
On the other hand, Booker comes in on a great run after six straight wins since his loss to Austin Williams in 2022.
His guaranteed purse is $275,000, but if PPV sales are successful, he could take home up to $700,000.
Booker has lost only once when he was knocked out by Austin Williams in 2022, but in his other fights he has been victorious.
In June 2024, he won by technical knockout against Brian Damian Chaves.
