Sebastian Fundora, the Coachella, California, fighter is a name that has been making waves in the boxing world. He is currently the WBC and WBO super welterweight champion after a stunning split decision victory over Tim Tszyu on March 30, 2024.

Now, Fundora is preparing for a big showdown this weekend, where he will defend his titles against Chordale Booker in a unification fight for the WBC and WBO super welterweight titles. This is a key fight for the champion.

Sebastian Fundora, born on December 28, 1997, is an American professional boxer who has held the World Boxing Council (WBC) interim super welterweight title since April 2022

Sebastian was born on December 28, 1997, and is the second son of a boxing family. He grew up surrounded by the sport, with his father and mother being former boxers, and his brothers also active in pugilism.

His professional career began in September 2016 when, in his first fight, he knocked out Jose Cardenas in just 72 seconds. Since then, his record has been impressive. In 2019, he stood out with important victories and a draw against the undefeated Jamontay Clark, demonstrating his potential.

With the nickname “Towering Inferno,” given by promoter Sampson Lewkowicz,Fundora demonstrated his power in the ring against Victory Toney in September 2017. Toney, who was 5.10 feet tall and came in with an undefeated record of 5-0, with four knockouts, suffered his first loss in that fight, which was also the first time Fundora had fought six rounds instead of three.
