Scottie Pippen is considered one of the best 75 players in NBA’s history and is widely regarded as the best teammate Michael Jordan could everd had as part of the legendary Chicago Bulls.

The forward from the University of Central Arkansas showed quickness, mobility and wingspan made him a major disruptor against both individuals and entire teams when he played ferocius defense along Jordan to lock down rivals.

Pippen disses LeBron and says that he had a better career

Scottie Pippen was the latest guest of the PBD Podcast hosted by Patrick Bet-David and the NBA legend talked about his relationship with Michael Jordan, frustration over the documentary “The Last Dance” (about Jordan and the Chicago Bulls’ last NBA championship in 1998) and how today’s league lack toughness, according to Pippen.

During one part of the interview, Pippen talked about the fact that he has had a better career than LeBron James because he finished his career with 6 NBA championships (all of them with Jordan and the Bulls), while James has four rings with three different teams (Miami Heat, Cleveland Cavaliers and Los Angeles Lakers.)

“My success as a team is more successful than LeBron. I got 6 rings.” Pippen stated. Bet-David pushed back by asking Pippen if he tought an NBA owner would have picked LeBron over him in search of an all-around player, if they were in the same draft class.

“I don’t know. You want individual accolades or do you want championships? Because I didn’t chase mines. Again, team sports to me, there’s no GOAT. There’s great teams. But as an individual, you gotta to individual’s sports.” Pippen added.

The former Chicago Bulls legend also mentioned the fact that if he was an NBA general manager and he had to pick one current player to build a team around, he would go with France’s center and San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama.

Pippen attacks Michael Jordan: “He was a horrible player”

Scottie Pippen continued his disdain towards Michael Jordan by calling NBA legend a “horrible player” before the Chicago Bulls built him into their team, as he also reveals the pair were never great friends.

The 59-year-old Pippen won six championships alongside Jordan from 1991-1993 and 1996-1998 and both credited each other with key roles in their successes and dynasties throughout the 1990s.

For example, Pippen missed Jordan in 1999 a year after the now-61-year-old retired for a second time; and Jordan returned the favor at his Hall of Fame induction by pointing to his colleague as a key reason he was so good.

Since relations soured from around the time of the release of The Last Dance in May 2020, they haven’t managed to find their way back to friends and now find themselves in a position similar to Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal’s relationship.
