As the NFL season progresses and the Miami Dolphins battle it out on the field, one figure remains constantly in the spotlight: NBC6 sideline reporter Sarah Cardona. The Colombian-born journalist continues to make headlines and it seems that for some, she is more important than the Dolphins themselves, the team that the reporter usually covers.
They say that journalists are never the protagonists of the stories, however, Sarah is stealing the spotlight at every sporting event she covers and, for this reason, thousands of fans are asking for her to cover their respective NFL teams.
The recent appearance of Sarah Cardona
Cardona, who was hired by NBC6 in June 2023 and regularly covers the Dolphins, Florida Panthers and Miami Hurricanes, was recently seen at Hard Rock Stadium to cover Friday’s matchup between the Hurricanes and Cardinals.
Beyond the game, the Middle Tennessee State University graduate stole the show with an outfit that paid homage to Miami’s colors and quickly went viral on social media. It’s not the first time Cardona has caused a stir online; a previous post with a field photo from Hard Rock Stadium reached an impressive 18 million views on X.
Cardona was born in Medellin, Colombia, and grew up in Nashville, Tennessee. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from Middle Tennessee State University. Cardona began her sports media career at Fox 17 and ABC 2 in her hometown of Nashville.
With or without Sarah, the Dolphins take the field
Beyond the fact that it is not known if Sarah will be reporting on the Dolphins’ duel, the team will take to the field in search of a victory and improve their streak.
The Miami Dolphins and Cleveland Browns, both teams with identical 1-5 records, will face off in a crucial Week 7 NFL matchup.
Today, October 19, 2025, the Dolphins will take the field from 1 p.m. ET, in a duel that will be marked by what QB Tua Tagovailoa and running back De’Von Achane can do, who lead a great offense and will hope to have a performance that will lead them to victory.
