Santos want to renew Neymar’s contract for another season and negotiations are quite advanced. There is still no concrete date when the parties will meet to close the deal 100%, but the feeling is that there is a verbal basis of agreement from which to move forward together.
However, it is fair to point out that there are other clubs who these days are trying to get in between Santos and Neymar, such as Flamengo. There are several players in the Flamengo squad who are pushing for Neymar to sign for the club, with the idea of helping him to give his best to reach the World Cup in the best possible condition.
