Ryan Garcia is set to return to boxing after his suspension for testing positive in an anti-doping test following his victory over Devin Haney (31-0) in April 2024, a result that was annulled for his violation of prohibited substances.

In May, just after his year-long suspension, Garcia (24-1) will fight on a card organized by Turki Alalshikh in Times Square, New York, where Haney is also expected to fight Jose Ramirez (29-2).

Ryan Garcia says goodbye to Pitbull Cruz

A few days ago, King Ryan posted that he wanted to fight Isaac Cruz (26-3-1), whom he considered tougher than Devin Haney, whom he says he would beat again.

But now it seems that the Mexican fighter Pitbull Cruz is no longer part of that card and Garcia’s opponent will be Rolly Romero (16-2), who already lost to Cruz in March 2024 by technical knockout in the eighth round.

“This has been a long time coming Rolly. After this I’ll have to finish off Devin once again. About to set boxing on fire again,” said the Californian.

Isaac Cruz will be on the card on February 1 against Angel Fierro (23-2-2), headlined by David Benavidez (29-0) and David Morrell (11-0) in Las Vegas.

Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney will have their rematch

Turki Alalshikh seems determined to have Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney face each other again after KingRy‘s beating and invalidated knockout of The Dream in seven rounds on April 20 last year.

But the Arab sheikh is said to have already agreed with both fighters on a trilogy, with the rematch taking place in October 2025 in Saudi Arabia and a third fight scheduled for February 2026, also in Riyadh.
