The shadow of the positive doping test for Ostarine by Ryan Garcia after defeating Devin Haney seems to haunt him for a long time, and in these last days of 2024, Victor Conte, founder of nutrition at SNAC, again issued a point of view on the case of KingRy, with an extensive opinion on social networks.

Ryan Garcia had an exhibition fight scheduled against Japanese kickboxer Rukiya Anpo on December 30, but postponed his commitment until early 2025, due to a wrist injury while training. Meanwhile, he received the new attack launched by Conte on his social networks, in which he detailed the performance benefits of speed and power with the consumption of Ostarine.

“The 1.4-pound increase in lean body mass translated into an improvement in the stair climbing test in both speed (+15.5% ± 12.9 faster time, p = 0.006) and power (+25.5% ± 20.3 watts, p = 0.005). Should we consider that a possible 15% increase in speed and 25% increase in power can help a boxer win a fight?” Victor Conte wrote on his X account.

Victor Conte reiterates suspicious behavior of Ryan Garcia

For Conte, it is very suspicious that Ryan Garcia did not undergo random drug testing for ten months and then, in his fight against Devin Haney, showed an increase in both speed and power

“Ryan also decided not to provide any evidence at an NYSAC hearing, which also seems suspicious. Hopefully, Ryan will provide some clarification other than it must have been ashwagandha,” Conte continued.

KingRy alleged that the consumption of Ostarine was an accidental ingestion of ashwagandha, nevertheless, the New York State Athletic Commission suspended him for one year and applied a fine of $10,000, and Conte added that “a boxer could take Ostarine for several months and then decrease the dose before entering a period of random testing and test negative”.
