Ryan Garcia’s return to the ring after a year-long suspension is just three days away, when he takes on Rolly Romero (16-2, 13 KOs) in the main event of the ‘Fatal Fury’ card on Friday, May 2 at Times Square.

In the co-main event, Devin Haney will take on Jose Ramirez, while the co-main event will feature Teofimo Lopez vs Arnold Barboza Jr.

Although KingRy should be focused on Romero, a year of cross-insults against Devin Haney and his father Bill have him with the rivalry ignited and he again launched a threat to beat them both during the ‘Grand Arrivals’ event held in New York.

“Yes, I’m willing to prove it. I can’t wait! I’m also going to beat up his father,” Ryan Garcia threatened about Bill Haney and added: “That’s who I want to beat up, but Devin can win again. I’m going to do the same thing I did last time. Maybe we can run it back in New York. Why not? Let him come back and do to him what I did to him last time.”

Ryan Garcia is thinking more about the rematch against Devin Haney

The main risk for Ryan Garcia is the lack of rhythm due to a year’s inactivity, and he also seems to be more focused on a fight that is not yet scheduled against Devin Haney, and underestimating Rolly Romero could play against him.

“I am back with a vengeance. I’m not here to mess around on Friday night. I can’t. I’ve got a huge fight coming up,” said KingRy in reference to his plans to face Devin Haney

And Ryan Garcia continued with his speech about taking his preparation seriously when he fights Haney, in a confusing message, since being on the same card, it seemed that they were going to face each other, but in reality the opponent will be Romero.

“I have to take it as seriously as when I fight Devin. So we’re going to be 100% prepared. You just get what you get, but I still bring that speed and that power,” said Ryan Garcia.
