Los Angeles Dodgers rookie pitcher, Japanese Roki Sasaki, was far from having the expected debut at Dodger Stadium after working just one and two-thirds innings against the Detroit Tigers, a fact that has changed the way the team’s coaching staff views the pitcher.
As the hours go by, rumors about the possibility of Sasaki being sent to the Minor Leagues are getting stronger and stronger, so it would not be a surprise to see the Japanese player working outside the city of Los Angeles in the coming days.
Sasaki’s questionable work in two games with the Dodgers

In his game against Detroit on Saturday, Sasaki allowed three hits and two earned runs, with two strikeouts and four walks on a total of 61 pitches, 32 in the strike zone.
Some MLB experts have suggested that a stint in Triple-A would be beneficial for the Japanese player, which could give him more experience and a higher level to withstand the pressure of playing in the best baseball in the world and with the current Major League champions.

Despite the slow start for the 23-year-old, Dodgers fans have been patient with the Japanese and have encouraged him at all times.
After leaving in the second inning on Saturday, Sasaki was close to tears, but the fans gave him a strong ovation and later came out to defend their young star.
