After Real Madrid’s 1-1 draw against Girona at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, the table is moving to a point where each matchday is starting to weigh more than usual.

The Madrid team remains in second place with 70 points, and is now six points behind FC Barcelona, which has 76 points.

Today, Saturday, April 11, 2026, the Barcelona team will face the Catalan derby against Espanyol at the Spotify Camp Nou, in a match that will be played at 12:30 p.m. ET.

It is not a duel that will define the championship, but it could change how the rest of the season is perceived.
