The serious thing is that both the Stars and Stripes team and its coach generate doubts once again, when there is less than a year to go before the ball starts rolling in the World Cup that will be played on American soil.
Goals from Son and Dong-Gyeong Lee in the first half were enough for the Koreans to knock out the United States, whose last match was the defeat against Mexico in the final of the Gold Cup.
Pochettino, whose selection is assured of its participation in the World Cup, as it will be one of the hosts, along with Mexico and Canada, still fails to give continuity to the U.S. team, since before the Gold Cup his team lost in the semifinals of the CONCACAF Nations League against Panama.
This defeat against South Korea spoiled the afternoon for the American fans, however, the United States will play another friendly next Tuesday, this time against Japan, in which they will be able to make amends
