Gerard Piqué has once again been involved in a tense situation with the referees in a match involving Andorra. It happened on Sunday afternoon in the match they played at home against Malaga (3-3). This was recorded in the referee’s report by Alejandro Ojaos Valera.

“Once the first half was over, and while in the tunnel. Gerard Pique Bernabeu approached the assistant referee number 1 in an aggressive manner, shouting and pointing his index finger at him a few centimeters from his face, using the following terms repeatedly: ‘It is a historic robbery’ and ‘I’m going to upload it to Twitter'”, reads the referee’s report.

In addition, according to the referee’s report, there was even more, because Pique also had a run-in with representatives of the rival team. “This person also addressed offensively against the members of Malaga CF, having to be separated by members of FC Andorra and security,” continued the report written by the referee.

A disallowed goal and a penalty

Pique, Andorra’s majority shareholder, complained about some controversial incidents that had occurred in the first half when referee Alejandro Ojaos Valera disallowed a goal for his team for a foul on Murillo and then awarded a penalty on Joaquin Munoz, which meant Malaga’s 0-2 in the first 45 minutes.

Pique’s feuds

This season, Gerard Pique has already been involved in other discussions with referees. In the Andorra-Mirandes (1-1) match, which took place at the end of September last year and corresponded to matchday six, referee Alonso de Ena Wolf recorded in the minutes some incidents at the end of the match in which both the Andorra’s majority shareholder and Jaume Nogues, the club’s sporting director, were involved

“Once the match was over, and while in the tunnel, he addressed my assistant No. 1, Jaume Nogues Llorens, in a loud voice and aggressively, with the following words: ‘You are a disgrace, this is a disgrace’. This situation led to Gerard Piqué Bernabeu approaching within a few centimetres of assistant No. 1, shouting and in an intimidating manner, making observations about the refereeing decisions,” the report revealed.

Later, on December 20, 2025, in the match between Andorra and Deportivo (1-0), which was played on matchday 19, Pique was once again the protagonist. “Once the first half had finished and while I was entering the tunnel, I was able to identify Gerard Piqué Bernabeu, who approached me to reprimand me for one of the decisions I made in the first half, saying: ‘How easy it is to whistle at the little ones’. All this while he was being held by members of his club,” wrote Eder Mallo, the referee of that match, in the report.
