Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Mahomes went all out to celebrate their daughter Sterling’s fourth birthday on February 20. The celebration featured a flamingo-themed cake and a series of heartfelt messages from loved ones.

Among those who joined in the festivities was Patrick Mahomes‘ father, Pat Mahomes Sr., who shared a touching throwback photo to mark the occasion.

A grandfather’s love: Pat Mahomes Sr.’s special message

Pat Mahomes Sr., a former MLB pitcher, took to Instagram to post a rare picture of himself playing with little Sterling at a Chiefs VIP stand. In the photo, he holds a soft toy while gently interacting with his granddaughter. However, what truly melted hearts was his emotional caption: “Happy 4th birthday, Ster. Pat Pat loves you.”

Sterling’s parents also shared a heartfelt post to celebrate their daughter’s special day, prompting Pat Sr. to leave another sweet comment: “Happy birthday, princess.” The outpouring of love didn’t stop there. Randi Mahomes, Patrick’s mother, also expressed her affection, writing, “I love you forever,” alongside several other warm wishes from family and friends. Fans quickly joined in, flooding the post with birthday messages for the young Mahomes.

The staged altercation: Mahomes Sr. in the spotlight

While his birthday tribute warmed hearts, Pat Mahomes Sr. recently made headlines for a different reason. His viral altercation with former MLB pitcher John Rocker turned out to be a staged stunt. According to reports, the two planned the incident to promote a celebrity boxing match set for April 2025.

Court documents revealed that Mahomes Sr. had signed a contract with Rough N’ Rowdy weeks before the supposed scuffle. The deal secured him an $85,000 payout, with additional earnings expected from pay-per-view sales. However, the incident also brought unwanted attention, as Mahomes Sr. was called back to court for missing a probation-mandated drug test while traveling to the Super Bowl in New Orleans.

Adding another twist to the story, Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy used the opportunity to take a jab at Patrick Mahomes, who has previously criticized the company. Portnoy extended an open invitation to the Chiefs quarterback, offering him a front-row seat to his father’s upcoming fight, free of charge.

As the controversy unfolds, fans are eager to see whether Mahomes Jr. will respond to the invitation or distance himself from the spectacle surrounding his father.
