The arrival of Paige Bueckers in the WNBA is already having a measurable impact, as ticket prices and fan interest in the Dallas Wings are skyrocketing.

While the league continues to benefit from the momentum created by Caitlin Clark, Bueckers‘ debut is bringing its own surge in demand.

According to TMZ Sports, SeatGeek recorded a 905% increase in traffic for Wings games following Bueckers‘ selection as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft. “That surge comes alongside a 905% increase in traffic vs. the prior day, showing just how quickly fan excitement is converting to demand,” SeatGeek executive Chris Leyden confirmed.

Bueckers sparks rise in WNBA ticket demand

Another major platform, Vivid Seats, also reported a significant rise in demand, with average ticket prices jumping 38% compared to last season.

Notably, this trend began when Dallas was awarded the top pick, with a 920% increase in ticket activity. By comparison, Indiana’s spike during the “Caitlin Clark Effect” was estimated at 60%.

One of the hottest tickets this summer is shaping up to be the first matchup between Clark and Bueckers, which is currently averaging $449 per ticket on Vivid Seats.

Bueckers, a standout from UConn, brings an elite résumé to the pros. Over four full seasons under Geno Auriemma, she was named a three-time unanimous All-American and won the Nancy Lieberman Award twice.

She also captured the Big East Player of the Year title three times, while averaging 19.9 points, 4.7 rebounds and 4.6 assists across 123 games.

While Clark may have set the recent benchmark for college-to-pro transition impact, Bueckers is clearly establishing her own presence-one ticket sale at a time.
