Paige Bueckers became the subject of unexpected social media attention after a playful Instagram post by Zo Caswell, the fiancée of the Cleveland Browns‘ quarterback Dillon Gabriel, went viral as the fair seemed to flirt with each other.

The interaction, though lighthearted in tone, captured the attention of fans across both the NFL and WNBA communities for a photo posted on Caswell‘s Instagram story, featured her standing alongside Gabriel and the WNBA star.

“ily @paigebeckers Sry @dilongabriel,” Caswell wrote, jokingly with a playful caption which immediately stood out as a flirtatious message to the 23-year-old Dallas Wings player.

Zo, dressed in a beige top and distressed denim shorts, exuded casual summer style. Her accessories included a black shoulder bag and grey-and-white sneakers, tying together a laid-back yet chic look.

Whilst her NFL partner sported a more understated fit, wearing a plain white T-shirt with beige cargo pants. Paige, for her part, was clad in athletic wear: a black and grey zip-up hoodie with loose black pants and matching sneakers.

This wasn’t the only moment from the event to catch the public’s eye. In a subsequent story, Caswell shared another image featuring Bueckers and Gabriel seated onstage at a “What Drives Winning” event.

“Watching these two speak together was such a treat @dilongabriel,” Caswell‘s accompanying caption to the photo read, as she continues to support her finacee in his bid to become the starter for the Browns.

Is Dillon Gabriel falling out of favor in Cleveland: Could Shedeur Sanders overtake him on Browns depth chart?

Gabriel had a strong career in the NCAA in which he combined for 18,722 passing yards and 155 touchdowns across the UCF Knights, Oklahoma Sooners and Oregon Ducks. He also added 1209 rushing yards for 33 touchdowns and allowed just 32 interceptions.

He now looks to land a gig in the NFL in the most open quarterback room in the entire league as he competes against Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett and Shedeur Sanders to win the head coach’s attention.

The Browns currently find themselves in a difficult position as none of the four options are particularly inspiring and all seem relatively closely matched as they compete to be Deshaun Watson’s stand-in for a year.

And The Athletic’s Vic Tafur offered a blunt assessment, projecting a bleak season for the Browns and singling out Gabriel’s standing by suggesting the 24-year-old is now on the back foot.

Shedeur Sanders should get a much-needed win,” Tafur wrote. “And beat out Dillon Gabriel for the No. 3 job.

“As the Browns will learn you can’t draft a short quarterback in the third round just because he has a firm handshake and intangibles.”

Gabriel, who stands at just 5’10” and weighs slightly over 200 pounds, faces skepticism despite his collegiate success and high accuracy, concerns persist regarding his size, arm strength, and his ability to adapt to Cleveland’s harsh winter conditions
