Oscar de la Hoya has made a significant mark in the world of boxing, both inside and outside the ring… and now he’s getting turnt up with his girlfriend.
With six titles across various weight classes and notable victories over legendary Mexican boxer Julio Cesar Chavez, De La Hoya, known as “The Golden Boy,” has secured his place in boxing history.
Beyond his achievements in the ring, De la Hoya has amassed one of the most substantial fortunes in the sport. Following his retirement as a fighter in 2009, he transitioned to a successful career as a promoter by founding Golden Boy Promotions, one of the most influential boxing promotion companies globally.
De la Hoya enjoys his trip to Mexico with his girlfriend
Oscar de la Hoya and his girlfriend, Holly Sonders – the couple started dating in June 2021 – , shared a video of their latest working trip to a Mexico beach, and they seem to be enjoying life to the fullest, with the legendary boxer wearing some Speedos and dancing to a Latin groove song.
“Heading back to Mexico, work trip this time! Can’t tell you how many times we’ve talked about moving to Mexico, we love it so much. Feels like home. Here’s 1 minute of the 60 hours of videos I have in my phone from our Mexican memories. on, and we are old AF but still got them abs.” posted Sonders.
To be fair, Oscar de la Hoya is 52 years old and Holly Sonders is 38 years old, but they are in great shape. De la Hoya went back to the gym and is now rocking a six-pack and his partner – former sports broadcaster – is known for having an amazing shape.
The next fights for Golden Boy Promotions
Oscar de la Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions has several upcoming fights, including the rematch of lightweight contender William Zepeda vs. Tevin Farmer for the interim WBC title, which will take place on March 29th in Cancun, Mexico.
Zepeda (32-0, 27 KO), hit the deck and suffered a hand injury against Farmer (33-7-1. 8 KO) last November en route to a narrow split-decision victory. He’ll have 12 rounds to work with this time around, which should play to the benefit of his high-attrition style, but Farmer’s clearly got something left in the tank.
“I thought the first fight was terrific. It was incredible,” said Oscar de La Hoya to Golden Boy about the first contest. Now he’s expecting a great fight and a knockout, which will bring excitement to the many boxing fans around the world.
