The case of alleged aggravated child sexual abuse by Omar Bravo against a minor is still in the headlines. In an interview with Azucena Uresti (Grupo Formula), the lawyer for the alleged victim responded openly after being accused of being ‘immoral’ for presenting “false” evidence.

In last week’s hearing, the judge in charge of the case determined that the former soccer player, a historic figure of Chivas de Guadalajara, should be linked to the process with six months of preventive detention for allegedly sexually abusing his stepdaughter for six years. The victim gathered videos and photographs documenting the abuse and threats she suffered between the ages of 11 and 17.

Juan Soltero reaffirms Omar Bravo’s clear guilt

During the live program discussed above, Juan Soltero, the alleged victim’s lawyer, said that it is not fair to blame fame to try to escape responsibility. One of Leobardo Trevino’s (the former soccer player’s defense) statements was that if Bravo were not famous, this process would have already ended.

(…) there are irrefutable facts, there are screenshots

“That’s not fair, I don’t think you can blame fame for what this guy did. The truth is that there are irrefutable facts in the file, there is a video, there are screenshots, there is the statement, expert reports. That has nothing to do with fame.” So far, there is no date set for another hearing. So both parties are still in the process of further investigation.

Leobardo Trevino assured that the Omar Bravo case “is about money”

Another of the versions that Trevino has maintained is that behind the accusation of aggravated child sexual abuse is a millionaire debt of the alleged victim’s uncle to Omar Bravo. In this regard, Juan Soltero considered that it is something “mean” to want to tarnish a minor. This issue has generated many reactions and divided opinions in social networks.

As a second response, Soltero reiterated that, in this particular case, in addition to the victim’s version, there is evidence. He warned that in response to the defense’s questioning that some of this evidence is edited, they will request the extraction of data stored by telephone companies. With this, they would have access to the complete conversations that the Chivas legend allegedly had with the minor.

Now, the former soccer player will face trial in the coming months for the crimes allegedly committed against his stepdaughter for at least six years. This is because the investigation file included a video and 42 screenshots that were taken as evidence of the attacks allegedly carried out by the former Chivas Rayadas del Guadalajara player.
