Summer is proving to be a positive and restful time for Olivia Dunne, the influential gymnast and now former college athlete, who has become an influencer on social media for many people who follow her. While she is adapting to a new phase, her relationship with Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes continues to capture public attention.

Olivia Dunne completed her fifth and final year with the LSU Tigers in April, marking the end of her collegiate gymnastics career. A knee injury kept her sidelined for much of her final season, paving the way for a transition to other horizons. Away from the mats, Dunne has fulfilled her NIL (Name, Image and Likeness) commitments, most notably appearing on the cover of the 2025 edition of the prestigious Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue

Recently, Dunne was seen enjoying the tranquility in Jupiter, Florida, sharing photos in which she wears an elegant dark blue bikini in a beautiful tropical landscape, consolidating a new stage in her life and receiving it with the best possible joy.

Relationship with Paul Skenes

Her relationship with Paul Skenes has gone from strength to strength since they met more than two years ago at university. In an interview with People magazine, Dunne revealed the fundamental rule of her relationship with Skenes: “We don’t restrict each other from doing things. I’ve been in relationships in the past like that, where it’s almost like you have a leash, you can’t do anything.”

For Dunne, the key lies in understanding the demands of their respective careers, especially for two young figures in the public eye. “But he has a job to do and I have a job to do; I know that’s very important for two young people in a relationship to understand. So yeah, we just have fun and it’s a two-way street.”

Paul Skenes, more than a promise

Paul Skenes is one of the biggest prospects in MLB and it is clear that he has a bright future ahead of him. The player was the first overall pick in the 2023 MLB Draft by the Pittsburgh Pirates, a testament to his immense potential.

In addition, Skenes, before being drafted, led the LSU Tigers to win the College World Series in 2023, where he demonstrated overwhelming dominance with a 1.69 ERA and an impressive 209 strikeouts in 122.2 innings. His performance at LSU catapulted him to be considered the best college pitching prospect.

Skenes made his MLB debut on May 11, 2024, with the Pittsburgh Pirates, and has been a dominant force ever since. His combined statistics from the 2024 and 2025 seasons have been very positive and leave him as one of the biggest prospects.
