Paul Skenes is back at Spring Training with the Pittsburgh Pirates, ready to take on his second MLB season after an outstanding 2024 campaign that earned him the Rookie of the Year award.
As he prepares for another season on the mound, Skenes has also been making time for his girlfriend, LSU gymnast Olivia Dunne, who has become a major social media sensation in her own right.
Spring Training and a playful Instagram exchange
On February 19, Skenes shared a series of photos from his Spring Training sessions, showing himself hard at work on the mound. The pitcher captioned the post with a simple, “Heating up,” referring to his efforts in preparation for the upcoming season.
Olivia Dunne, always quick with her playful banter, responded.
“Knew something felt hot in here,” Dunne posted, adding a bit of humor and affection to the moment.
Skenes and Dunne first crossed paths while both were at Louisiana State University, with Skenes making waves on the baseball diamond and Dunne shining in gymnastics. Their relationship has grown since then, with the two frequently supporting each other at various games and events.
As the offseason came to a close, Skenes took a break from baseball to enjoy some downtime with Dunne in Louisiana. On February 13, Skenes posted a photo dump on Instagram, capturing the fun moments they shared during the offseason.
“This past offseason was fun,” Skenes captioned.
In her typical witty style, Dunne chimed in with a comment.
“Impressive dump babe,” showing her playful side while continuing to support her boyfriend.
Though Skenes isn’t as active on social media as Dunne, they often share glimpses of their lives, from quiet moments together to fun outings, giving their fans a peek into their relationship.
