Olivia Dunne has joined in the praise on Jake Paul’s girlfriend after Jutta Leerdam claimed her third speed skating title at the European Championships on January 11, and her sixth crown in sprints.

The Dutchwoman was backed by her YouTuber boyfriend, who is also a professional boxer, as she skated her way to glory in the Netherlands, repelling challenges from her compatriots Femke Kok and Suzanne Schulting.

A packed crowd watched the 26-year-old fend off the pressure in two 500 metre races and two 1000m races to claim the title fractionally ahead of Kok as Paul celebrated jubilantly in the stands.

The result allowed her to claim her sixth European title as she emerges as the dominant force in speed skating, whilst also adding three 1000m titles and three sprint titles to her impressive resume.

Yet despite the niche nature of the sport, news of Leerdam’s influence still transcends the 3000-mile wide Atlantic Ocean to hit the United States as the LSU Tigers’ Dunne expressed her joy at her achievement.

“Congrats queen,” Dunne commented via Instagram to a series of photos of the skater’s success.

Earning almost 300,000 likes, they were posted by Leerdam with the caption, “EUROPEAN CHAMPION SPRINT,” as she added a gold medal emoji for each title.

How does Olivia Dunne know Jake Paul?

Dunne has been affiliated with Paul and Leerdam since agreeing to start a personal care brand with the 27-year-old, of which the NCAA Division I women’s gymnastics champion is a co-owner.

The UFC’s Sean O’Malley and music’s Rubi Rose have also invested in the brand and Dunne says it’s no quick cash grab, but something she felt inspired by due to the boxer’s passion and business drive.

“I met Jake this past summer at Michael Rubin’s white party,” Dunne says. “Seeing how passionate he was in person really made me want to work with him.

“He’s proven himself beyond being an influencer-he’s super driven and a really good businessman.”
