Former Miami Dolphins wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has been named in an amended lawsuit alleging involvement in a 2018 sexual assault orchestrated by music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs. Comedian Druski is also implicated in the allegations.
The plaintiff, Ashley Parham, claims that in March 2018, she was assaulted in Orinda, California, by Combs, Beckham Jr., and Druski. Parham alleges that Combs orchestrated the assault, during which Beckham Jr. and Druski participated.
Beckham Jr. has vehemently denied the allegations, stating, “I really can’t even believe that my name is mentioned in that matter. There is absolutely no truth to those allegations.” He further emphasized that he does not know Parham, has never met her, and has no recollection of ever being in Orinda.
Legal proceedings and responses
The Contra Costa Sheriff’s Office previously investigated Parham’s claims and found them to be unfounded. Despite this, the amended lawsuit has brought renewed attention to the allegations. Combs’ legal team has dismissed the claims, asserting that they lack credibility and evidence. Druski has also denied the accusations, labeling them as fabricated lies.
In response to the lawsuit, Beckham Jr. shared a cryptic message on social media, reposting Snoop Dogg‘s words: “YOU DOGGED MY NAME BUT I CALLED YOURS OUT IN PRAYER. THAT’S THE DIFFERENCE.” He captioned it with a simple yet profound statement: “Can’t stop God.”
Impact on Beckham Jr.’s career
Beckham Jr.’s career has experienced fluctuations in recent years. After a Super Bowl injury sidelined him for the entire 2022 season, he returned to the field in 2023 with the Baltimore Ravens. A year later, he joined the Miami Dolphins, but by December 2024, both parties decided to part ways. Currently a free agent, Beckham Jr. was said to have been seeking new opportunities in the NFL, although recent reports suggest that his retirement is now imminent.
As of now, Beckham Jr. continues to deny all allegations and maintains focused on the next step of his career.
