The ironies of life never seem to stop surprising. Just days after the breakup between Cardi B and Stefon Diggs, a shocking coincidence has taken place at her ‘Little Miss Drama’ show in Houston. Who would have thought that after their famous split, the mother of Diggs herself would attend the show? But that is not the most shocking part… as Nicki Minaj’s half-sister, Ming Luanli, attended the event too!

For those unaware, (leaving the obvious Diggs situation apart) Nicki Minaj and Cardi B are kind of archenemies. They have had many tense moments, that go from some social media beef to the infamous 2018 shoe-throwing incident at New York Fashion Week. The stands of the Toyota Center hosted something unimaginable for most fans.

A grandmother showing support

The appearance of Stephanie Diggs in the show was particularly funny for those following the personal life of Cardi B. Despite Cardi officially calling it quits with her son, she still wanted to remain present for the mother of her grandchild, forgetting everything else and prioritizing family over tensions.

Stephanie was seen enjoying and grooving to the music, embodying the idea that family is forever, problems not so. Her presence at the show represented a mature approach to co-parenting and family unity, proving that her bond with Cardi remains intact regardless of the romantic status between Cardi and Stefon.

Ming Luanli also chose peace over beef

Perhaps the most shocking attendee was Ming Luanli. Knowing that the “Anaconda” rapper and Cardi B exchanged heated disses as recently as last fall, where Nicki reportedly insulted Cardi’s daughter, Kulture, Ming’s presence felt like a minf blowing situation.

However, Ming did not shy away from the inevitable social media chatter. Taking to her platforms after the show, she defended her right to enjoy the performance, stating that she refuses to pick sides in a rivalry that “won’t matter in the future.

Her approach was a valid take on the industry’s often performative loyalty, choosing to celebrate artistry over anything else. Exactly, enjoy the show, have fun, and go home. Easy.

Whether this moment could be repeated in the future, we do not know, but as of now, the cold war between Nicki and Cardi remains. But for one night in Houston, the music was loud enough to eclipse the drama.
