Nick Diaz, the brother of the UFC‘s Nate Diaz, has been mocked by trolls online after a recent Instagram endorsement as they say he needs money to buy drugs, weeks after his girlfriend claimed he’s an addict.
Nick was due to fight at UFC 310 against Vicente Luque but the bout was cancelled shortly after a viral video of him literally playing with fire in one of his neighborhoods before his partner, Kay, said he has issues with substance abuse.
But if he has heard the noise, he seems to be ignoring it as the Strikeforce champion partners up with a sauna company to offer a give-away prize to a “lucky winner” after crediting the product in his fighting physiotherapy.
“Cold plunge giveaway,” Nick Diaz posted to Instagram. “Excited to announce that I am teaming up with @sunhomesaunas to give a lucky winner the same cold plunge that I have at home.
“The cold plunge has been a vital part of my workout recovery routine and has helped reduce pain and inflammation and I can’t wait to get one of these to our winner!”
The post gained over 37000 likes on the Meta-owned social media platform, but if the 41-year-old Californian is trying to forget the claims of his ex-partner, internet trolls won’t allow him to, as they mocked him in the comments.
One user wrote in the replies, “Doing giveaways but not training, dude needs money to feed his addiction.”
A second added, “Why was you shirtless on the street, burning down bushes.”
And a third commented, “Nick we all seen you on the street please respond to it.”
Diaz admits to drinking problem
Whatever happened between Kay and Nick Diaz, it seems as though their relationship has completely broken down with the recent claims.
Additionally, he admitted that his drinking habit is because the 41-year-old feels as though he cannot escape her, as he puts the blame on partner.
“I’ve been drinking like that because, f**k, I can’t get away from her,” Diaz admitted via YouTube. “I’m just stuck.
“And I’ve got to go deal with people, too, and her. So I can’t stand her when I’m sober around people and I’m like, freaking out.”
