The 2025 NFL Draft will take place April 24-26 in the Titletown District in Green Bay at Lambeau Field. The draft will be broadcast on NFL Network, ABC and ESPN.
The Titans got the first overall pick in the 2025 Draft by having the worst record in the NFL in 2024. Miami quarterback Cam Ward is profiled as the favorite to go to Tennessee with the first overall pick.
NFL franchises begin to shape their ‘bets’
With the 2025 NFL Draft approaching, the question is who the Tennessee Titans will go for, as they are the team that will pick first as an advantage to begin to renew their roster for the upcoming season, and who will give a player the chance to become the 2025 NFL Draft First Overall Pick.
The Miami Hurricanes quarterback, Cam Ward, is the clear favorite for such a distinction, followed by Colorado Buffaloes star Travis Hunter.
According to DraftKings Sportsbook, Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward is the heavy favorite, followed by Penn State defensive end Abdul Carter, while Colorado Buffaloes star Travis Hunter is third. We should not forget Hunter’s teammate, Shedeur Sanders, who along with Ward are considered the two best passers for this event.
The Titans are definitely looking for a quarterback, after their position had a forgettable performance by their two active passers last season, Will Levis and Mason Rudolph, who combined for 22 touchdown passes with 21 interceptions, leading to a disappointing 3-14 season.
The Titans’ decision to select Ward with the first overall pick seems merely a formality at this point. Ward has his flaws, but he is undeniably a big-play machine who keeps his cool when under pressure.
Ward’s transition to the pros will be aided by Tennessee’s investments in the offensive line over the past two offseasons.
