Neither Bo Nix nor McCaffrey are safe: the most controversial decisions you must make in Fantasy Football Week 9

Half of the Fantasy Football season is here and managers face a week full of dilemmas.

Even the safest stars, such as Bo Nix or Christian McCaffrey, do not seem untouchable on a day where matchups and statistics call into question even the most reliable names.

Bo Nix: from hero to risk in Houston

Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix has been a pleasant surprise in recent weeks, scoring more than 23 Fantasy points in two consecutive games. However, his next challenge could slow his momentum: facing the Houston Texans, a defense that has limited opposing quarterbacks to just 10 points per game.

In addition, his numbers away from home are not encouraging, as while in Denver he averages 24 points per game, as a visitor his performance drops to 16. In a crucial week, Nix may not be the most reliable option, so many managers are wondering if it is time to look for safer alternatives.

Christian McCaffrey, a safe bet

Talking about Christian McCaffrey is talking about consistency. The San Francisco 49ers running back is a points machine, with almost 25 per game and absolute leadership in rushing and receiving. However, thinking about the future is vital, and the numbers suggest that it might be a good time to sell him in a strategic trade.

Their bye comes in Week 14, just as the Fantasyplayoffs begin. In addition, their subsequent schedule is not the kindest, facing solid defenses such as the Indianapolis Colts.

Players like Jahmyr Gibbs or Bijan Robinson could offer a more favorable finish. If you’re building for the championship, it’s time to plan with a cool head, not with your heart.

Travis Hunter: a gem that is starting to shine

Jacksonville Jaguars rookie Travis Hunter is starting to show his potential. After an uncertain start, his numbers skyrocketed in Week 7 with over 100 yards and a touchdown. With increasing usage in the offense, he could establish himself as a top-30 option among receivers.

This week he faces the Las Vegas Raiders, a defense that has allowed many points to opposing receivers, making him a high value bet for those looking for an explosive flex.

Fantasy Football Week 9: Decisions that separate the champions

At this stage of the season, emotions should not dominate decisions. Bo Nix may have a bad matchup, McCaffrey could be a valuable trade chip, and Travis Hunter is a risky card with stellar potential. The key seems to be knowing how to anticipate the schedule, read the trends and act coldly.
