Now, No. 2 seed UConn will attempt to march past the point where it fell short last year, as Paige Bueckers seeks her second national championship appearance. The Huskies will have to get past a hungry and feisty top-seeded UCLA, which is seeking its first Final Four victory and title game appearance in women’s program history.

Here are the highlights!

No. 2 seed UConn vs. No. 1 seed UCLA

South Carolina will compete for the National Championship for the second consecutive season after dominating fellow No. 1 seed Texas on Friday. The one player in the Gamecocks’ rotation that wasn’t in college last season, freshman Joyce Edwards, starred in all facets of the game for South Carolina. She came off the bench to score 13 points and grab 11 rebounds for her fourth double-double of the season.

Senior guard Te-Hina Paopao led the Gamecocks with 14 points, connecting on three of her four 3-point shot attempts.

Madison Booker made her first three shots for Texas but got into foul trouble, and it doomed the Longhorns. She fell out of rhythm and went 2-of-11 the rest of the way as the Longhorns’ offense struggled overall.
